Four neurosurgeons specialised in spinal neurosurgery practise within the ZW-O Spine Centre. Our area of expertise is the treatment of patients with spinal disorders requiring surgery, conditions such as degenerative disc disease, stenosis of the spinal canal, spinal tumors, trauma and rheumatoid arthritis.

At the ZW-O Spine Centre, we are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of care, and to continuously improving our treatment of these spinal conditions. We work as a highly specialised team of skilled surgeons, using cutting edge technology.

Initial outpatient examination and case analysis take place at the practice in Osnabrück. Appointments can be made by phone or email. All patients undergo thorough individual evaluation, including review of imaging studies, clinical findings and any other relevant assessments.

If further examinaions e.g. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Computed Tomography (CT) are required to aid diagnosis, we refer the patient to the appropriate service. Once all necessary data has been collected, we make every effort to explain the findings and their implications to the patient. The nature of the underlying condition and available treatment choices are outlined in full, and where surgery is indicated, the appropriate technique is clearly explained and any questions answered.

Surgery is performed at the City Hospital Osnabrück. Here we provide high quality care and state of the art technology including microsurgery and computer navigated surgery.

Although most surgery is carried out within an inpatient setting, we do provide out patient surgery in selected cases. For patients with co-morbidity, our department of anaesthesiology provides the necessary expertise as well as an interdisciplinary intensive care unit. Physiotherapy and social services are also available where appropriate.
